Candle Care
1. First Burn:
The First burn is the most important, as it sets the candle's memory in the wax. To avoid tunneling, let the candle burn for 2-3 hours on the first burn.
2. Trim Wick:
Trim the wick before every burn to 1/4 of an inch to ensure the flame is at the right height for the candle. Untrimmed wicks will emit black sooth or cause over-burning. You can use wick trimmers, nail clippers, or even break off the burnt ends with your fingers.
3. Safety Tips:
Do not burn candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
Keep candle away from vents, and flammable materials.
Keep candle out of reach of children, and pets.
Keep candle on a flat, fire resistance surface.
Do not leave candle unattended.
Allow the jar and wax to cool before touching or moving.
Stop burning candle when about 1/2 of an inch of wax remains. Or when silver wick clip is visible.
After Care:
Our jars are recyclable and/or reusable. Leftover wax can be removed for jars to be repurposed.
Fill a pot with boiling water and place the candle jar for a few minutes for the wax to soften.
Once the wax has melted or rises to the top of jar, carefully remove the jar from the water and pour out the remaining wax, NOT down the sink drain. Thoroughly wash using warm water and soap.
Remove the remaining wick and the wick-holder.
Do not microwave to melt the leftover wax as the wick holder that holds the wick in place is made out of metal.
